TYLDESLEY Little Theatre end their season in style next month with the charming comedy, Building Blocks.

And the production will mark the directorial debut of Andrea Peters, who is also celebrating 10 years with the society.

Although Building Blocks will see her direct for the first time, Andrea is no stranger to success at Tyldesley, being twice recognised as a Best Actress Runner Up at the Bolton Amateur Theatre Awards and picking up the GMDF’s Best Actress certificate for her role in Ladies’ Day.

Building Blocks is written by the one and only Bob Larbey, the writer of great television comedy for many years, including The Good Life, Please Sir, A Fine Romance, The Darling Buds of May and As Time Goes By.

Building Blocks is a story built around the all too familiar trauma of building a house extension. Which relationships are more strained – those with the builders or between husband and wife? This is well observed and believable comedy that moves at a pace that allows us to develop an agreeable empathy with each and every character.
