BOLTON has an array of statues commemorating the great and the good in its town centre, but another was added to their number on Friday — in equal measure.
A levitating mythical creature appeared at the junction of Market Street and Deansgate.
While some shoppers remained unimpressed by its stony-eyed presence up in the air, it drew giggles from a crowd who stopped and watched as passers-by dropped coins into the statue’s collection pot, prompting it to suddenly come to life and give a little bow of thanks.
