A HARWOOD teenager has started touring with her own Dolly Parton tribute show after appearing on television as the country singer.

Kennedy Ross, aged 19, was transformed into the southern belle on ITV's Stars in Their Eyes last month.

Although she did not land a place in the grand final, she is now wowing audiences across the country with her performances as the 9 to 5 and Jolene singer.

While Miss Ross — who performs under the name Kennedy Caitlin — works at the Disney Store, intu Trafford Centre, by day, she performs in pubs and clubs at weekends.

Tomorrow night, she will perform her Dolly Parton tribute show at the Red Lion in Over Hulton.

Miss Ross, who studied at Trafford College's Manchester Music Base, said: "My Dolly show only started last weekend in Lincolnshire and Gloucestershire which was very well received with some lovely comments off audience members."

She was born into showbusiness as her mum, Tracie, was a dancer, singer, theatre producer and entertainments manager. She has been a big fan of Dolly and country and western music since a young age, influenced by her grandad.

Her latest costume is a replica of the one Dolly wore at Glastonbury and from her Blue Smoke Tour in 2014.
