Peter Kay fans can tune into a radio show of the comedian enjoying a mini road trip of Bolton today.

He teamed up with host Johnnie Walker for the special show on BBC Radio 2, airing at 5pm.

The entertainers conducted a two-way interview while playing music as they drove around together in a car for two hours in Bolton, as well as Manchester.

This format for the programme, a special edition of the popular Johnnie Walker Meets... series, was inspired by the Bafta-winning comic's sitcom Peter Kay's Car Share.

Music from the 1950s up to the current day will be featured in the special, with tracks from the Beatles, Marvin Gaye and Mike And The Mechanics among those included on the playlist.

Johnnie Walker Meets... Peter Kay will air today (December 30) at 5pm on BBC Radio 2.
