FRIENDS fans from all over the North are heading to Heaton Park in Prestwich this week to get the ultimate Friends experience.

Despite wet and muddy conditions, Friends fanatics have turned out in their hundreds to enjoy the sell-out tour so far.

We decided to go along and see what all the fuss is about.

To avoid the rain, we headed straight for a coffee in Central Perk, where we were greeted with renditions of Pheobe Buffay's classics, including the iconic 'Smelly Cat'.

We were taken on a tour to see never-seen-before memorabilia from the show, such as various outfits including Ross' leather pants, Phoebe's guitar and the big white dog from Joey and Chandler's apartment.

The tour went on to Joey and Chandler's apartment where fans are able to relax in the barcaloungers, or play a game of foosball. We had a paddle in the canoe before sitting at the breakfast bar reminscing over our favourite episodes.

The tour progressed to Monica and Rachel's apartment, where every member of Friends lived at one stage during the 10 seasons of the US sit-com.

We sat on Monica's couch, but were careful to fluff the pillows once we were done, and looked out of the window to try and spot 'Ugly Naked Guy' from across the street.

Friendsfest was the ultimate experience for any genuine fan to reminisce favourite scenes from the show, and re-enact the best moments.

Alice Morgan, who works for Luna Cinema, is part of the cast hosting the series of events alongside Comedy Central.

She said: "It has been a great tour so far. Manchester is our third venue out of six. It has been fantastic. The people of Manchester have been so happy, so friendly and they love to join in with all the audience participation parts of the tour which is great.

"I believe the Manchester leg of the tour sold out in an hour. It has been one of the most popular events."

Friendsfest is in Prestwich until this Sunday.
