A BOLTON band is hoping to make music history with its latest single launch.
The Jade Assembly officially launched its latest single Got My Star on Monday.
And, thanks to a pre-sale push as a limited-edition 7in vinyl, the indie four-piece has found itself on the verge of breaking through in to the UK Top 40 Vinyl Chart.
Frontman John Foster said: “We will find out on Friday, but it is possible we could be in the top 40.
“It would be a massive accolade for us. It is literally unheard of for an unsigned band to break into the chart.
“As a Bolton band we would love that to be our achievement and it would be great if people in Bolton could support us.
“It’s a great boost to know we can come so close.”
To celebrate the release, the band took on a tour which finished with a sold out gig at Jimmy’s in Manchester on Saturday.
