TALENTED youngsters could find themselves starring alongside Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson at Bolton’s Albert Halls.

George, who impressed judges with his Singing in the Rain street dance routine, will be playing the prince in Rapunzel next month.

And the search is on for talented youngsters, to star alongside him with auditions for the show’s junior ensemble taking pace on Sunday. They will also perform alongside Olivia Birchenough, who presents Channel 5’s Milkshake as Rapunzel.

George, who performed at Bolton’s Christmas Light switch on in 2008, said: “I am excited to be back in Bolton. I’ve got a lot of Bolton Wanderers fans in my family and it’s a place I hold very close to my heart. It was amazing when I performed at the Christmas Lights switch on. I had a brilliant reception and I am sure that we will get a similar response for Rapunzel as it’s going to be a great show.”

Olivia added: “I am very excited. Rapunzel is going to be great fun for all the family and a brilliant way to introduce kids to the theatre.”

Open auditions for the junior ensemble are being held at the Albert Halls from noon to 3pm for boys and girls aged from seven to 18. Registration takes place from 11.30am and successful candidates must be available to attend all rehearsals on February 24 and 25 and March 3, 4, 10, 11, 16 and 17. Rapunzel will take to the stage for one day only o March 17, with shows at 11am, 2.30pm and 6.30pm.
