A MAN was kicked by two men as they robbed him in Leigh.

The 36-year-old victim was approached by two men as he walked down an alleyway between Boston Grove and West Leigh Lane, at about 11.30pm on November 17.

One pinned him against a fence and rummaged through his pockets before he was kicked to the ground.

After the offenders left, the man realised his mobile phone and tobacco tin had been taken.

The first offender is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build and around 35-years-old. He has blue eyes and had a piercing in his right eyebrow, and was wearing a grey Adidas hooded top.

The second man has only been described as white, smaller than his accomplice and wearing all black clothing.

Det Con Andrew Partington, said: “The victim has been left so distressed by this incident that now fears going out alone.

“Hopefully identifying the offenders and arresting them will go some way to alleviating that worry so I want to hear from anyone has any information, saw what happened or knows the person responsible.

“The victim has been able to offer a detailed description of one of the offenders, who had a piercing in his right eyebrow, so if you recognise someone from this description please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7225, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
