POLITICIANS often get accused of being "all talk and no action" but a group of Bolton candidates aimed to "bounce" that idea away this afternoon.

Parliamentary and council hopefuls squared off for a game of wheelchair basketball on Victoria Square as part of an open event organised by the Bolton Bulls club.

The bulls are a registered charity and wheelchair basketball club, based at Smithills Sports Centre.

Team members included Labour parliamentary candidates David Crausby (Bolton North East) and Julie Hilling (Bolton West) and Conservative parliamentary candidate for Bolton South East Mudasir Dean.

Also keen to show they had "wheely" good skills were Labour's Christopher Peacock who is hoping to be re-elected in Westhoughton North and Chew Moor and Tory hopeful for Heaton and Lostock Andy Morgan.
