A PUB has reopened after a six-figure refurbishment, which has created 20 new jobs.

The Beehive in Chorley New Road, Lostock, has recently received a makeover, including the installation of a new carvery and an 'improved food offering'.

There have also been changes throughout the building, which is owned by brewery Greene King, and features a Wacky Warehouse as well as Sky TV.

Chris Hunter, general manager at The Beehive, said: "The Beehive has always been a popular destination for people in Bolton, so we’re pleased to be able to offer a new and improved food offering to our Bolton neighbours.

"The investment has been a real success, with great feedback on the new carvery, and pub menu and family-friendly pub atmosphere.

"We look forward to welcoming loyal and new guests over the coming months."

The carvery will be served every day with a minimum of three meats that have been slow cooked for up to 14 hours as well as eight seasonal vegetables.

And as part of the refurb, a new menu has been created, which, according to Greene King, is 'full of pub classics', such as hand-battered cod and chips, British beef and ale pie and 28-day aged steaks.

A spokesman from Greene King said that despite the changes, the pub would maintain its 'traditional features and comfortable, homely atmosphere, as well as existing Sky TV entertainment'.

The pub is currently on the lookout for more bar and kitchen staff.
