COMEDIAN Peter Kay will host a double celebration next week as he opens flagship £55 million arts building before he takes to the stage for a huge party marking The Bolton News 150th anniversary on December 1.

Peter will be at the University of Salford, which he graduated from, with his Car Share co-star Sian Gibson to open the New Adelphi building ahead of the world premiere of Burning Bright: A Night of Northern Stars,

Peter said: “ As ex-Salford media performance students both Sian and myself are incredibly proud to be invited to open this magnificent arts facility and we’re excited to think of all of the creative work that will emerge from within it in the years to come.”

Peter will then be performing in his home town and raise money for Bolton Hospice. Tickets are £65 each, or £600 for table of 10, and there are a limited number of VIP tables nearer the stage at £100 per ticket or £900 for a table of 10. Tickets further back are priced £45.
