TWO women were left in need of medical attention after a crash at a busy junction.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Bradford Road and Crescent Road at about 1.25pm this afternoon (Thursday) after a collision involving a Volvo and a Toyota Yaris.
The women, who were both passengers, were able to get out of the vehicles and reach a place of safety, but complained of 'slight injuries' to fire crews.
Firefighters then called the Ambulance service who arrived at the scene to carry out precautionary checks.
Two male drivers were unhurt in the crash.
Tony McKenna, watch manager at Bolton Central Community Fire Station, said firefighters had made the scene safe and the matter was now been 'left with police for further investigation'.
