THE AMBULANCE service has said a strike by staff had no impact on its most serious call outs.
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) added that in Greater Manchester of the two people eligible to strike only one did so.
The strike took place across the NWAS region on Monday for two hours and is about a banding dispute ranging back to 2005.
Workers with the GMB union walked out at the beginning of their shifts and the union has said further strike action is planned for next Friday.
The union is asking the employer to re-evaluate the job roles in a bid to move staff up a pay band.
