INSTALLATION: New Bishop of Lancaster Rev Dr Jill Duff with Bishop of Blackburn Rt Rev Julian Henderson
A FORMER pupil of Bolton School is to be installed as the new Bishop of Lancaster.
The Rev Dr Jill Duff will be consecrated at York Minster on July 29 at 11am by the Archbishop of York.
Many Lancashire civic dignitaries — including mayors from across the county — as well as clergy from around Lancashire will be in attendance.
The following Tuesday, July 3, her installation service will take place in the Bishop's new diocese at the region's Anglican Cathedral in Blackburn. This service will begin at 7.30pm.
