THE latest plans for the Nat Lofthouse statue will be shared at the annual Bolton Wanderers service of remembrance at the Reebok Stadium later this month.

The service will be held pitch-side on Wednesday, May 23, at 6.30pm and will be conducted by the club chaplain.

The event will continue in the Platinum Suite with music from Smithills School Senior Brass Band.

During the service, names of loved ones that have been inscribed in the Memorial Book or engraved on a Memorial Stone during the past 12 months will be read out.

Names of loved ones to be remembered from previous years will also be displayed on a big screen, and people will be invited to come forward and light candles.

Club chaplain Phil Mason said: “The service is always a very moving occasion and it is good to come together as the Bolton Wanderers family to remember and support one another in this special way.

“This year we shall also be thinking about the plans ahead for the Nat Lofthouse Memorial Statue and it seems very appropriate that we share these plans within the context of this service.”
