Police examine Bolton street shooting bullets

POLICE are examining bullet casings found at the scene of a shooting in Bolton.

A 20-year-old man was shot with what is believed to be a handgun following a brawl in Chorley Old Road at 4.15pm on Tuesday.

The gun has not yet been found and no arrests have been made.

The victim is still in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police were called to Chorley Old Road at the junction of Mortfield Lane.

It is believed that a group of four black men had an argument with the victim opposite the Shell petrol station.

He was shot in the hand, but managed to escape along Chorley Old Road before raising the alarm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 0161 856 5740 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

If cases were found it must be an Auto, not a Revolver. Probably a 9mm Browning from Iraq.
I had to hand my .22 target pistols in back in 1997 so it wasn't me!
