A GARAGE has been cordoned off after asbestos was discovered following a blaze.
Firefighters were called to the derelict garage in Fell Street, Leigh at 8pm on Monday after arsonists had set the building alight.
As crews were dousing the flames they discovered asbestos in the roof.
The building was immediately cordoned off and firefighters removed most of the material.
It will remain cordoned off until the Health and Safety Executive clear the remaining asbestos from the roof.
