WANDERERS have cooled their interest in Sporting Lisbon's Simon Vukcevic.
Gary Megson was reported to have made a £5million bid for the highly-rated Montenegro international, who scored 12 goals from midfield last season in the Portugese top flight.
But The Bolton News understands that the club have made no official approach - and will not be pursuing the 22-year-old.
Vukcevic first attracted Wanderers' attention after scoring at the Reebok Stadium in the UEFA Cup in March.
But Megson, who has been given the green light to keep spending by chairman Phil Gartside, will not be making the Lisbon player his third new signing of the summer.
The Whites boss took his spending up to £30m since taking over from Sammy Lee in October with arrival of Sweden international striker Johan Elmander last week.
And the £11m club record signing came hot on the heels of Fabrice Muamba, a £5m acquisition from Birmingham.
Meanwhile, Doncaster Rovers have announced ticket prices for the pre-season friendly at the Keepmoat Stadium on August 1.
Supporters will be charged £15 for an adult ticket and £5 for concessions.
