A man has been arrested after £2.5 million-worth of cannabis was seized at a ferry port.
The drugs were discovered in a van at a ferry terminal in Cairnryan, Dumfries and Galloway, on Friday night.
A police spokesman said the cannabis was heading for Ireland, where it had an estimated street value of up to £2.5 million.
A 39-year-old man from Bolton was arrested in connection with the seizure.
He is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court tomorrow.
