A BOLTON firm has won a place in this weekend’s Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list of the UK’s fastest-growing private businesses.

Top Cashback.co.uk is an online-shopping business with more than 1.7 million members.

It sells goods from more than 3,500 sellers, from High Street shops to smaller retailers.

As part of its offer, commission paid by retailers to Top Cashback is passed on to customers, while its main income comes from other parts of the business.

Nearly £3 million in cashback payments are “earned” by members each month. The firm also provides discount vouchers and productcomparison services.

Founded in 2005 by Mike Tomkins and Oliver Ragg, it has a office at Enterprise Park, Middlebrook, and two other sites in Staffordshire and London, employing 50 staff in total.

Mr Tomkins, aged 37, lives in Horwich and is a former Blackrod and Rivington High School pupil.

He studied at Wigan and Leigh College and the University of Salford, and worked at Tesco in Horwich while a student.

He and Mr Ragg, who is originally from the South of England, previously worked together for other websites in the region.

An awards dinner for the Sunday Times list will be held at Richard Branson’s family home in Oxfordshire next May
