A 12-YEAR-OLD girl has suffered “serious” injuries after being stuck by a car.
The girl, who is believed to be a pupil at a Bolton school, suffered head injuries following the collision near to Broadoak Garden Centre in Worsley Road, Worsley, at 7.50am this morning, Friday.
It is thought the girl was hit by purple Ford KA being driven by a woman after getting out of a relative’s car.
The girl was taken to Salford Royal Hospital by ambulance but has since been transferred to Manchester Royal Infirmary. A police spokesman confirmed the girl was undergoing surgery this afternoon.
No arrests have been made.
The road was closed at around 12pm for crime scene investigators to investigate.
