YOUNGSTERS have helped to provide a wide variety of toys and gifts for the Bolton Lions and Bolton News Caring Christmas Appeal.

The Lions have been working tirelessly all year to collect enough toys, gifts and money to make sure hundreds of children and teenagers who, without your help, would be facing a very bleak Christmas.

A toy service was held at Christ Church, Heaton, and the children gave toys, books and games to help youngsters less fortunate than themselves.

And the Lions are still collecting toys and gifts, especially those suitable for older children.

If you can manage to donate something to the appeal you can be assured it will be very well received by the child it goes to this year.

No matter how small the donation is, it will help bring a smile to a face on December 25 and each and every penny donated helps to buy happiness for the underprivileged children of Bolton who benefit each year from the appeal.

Good quality used toys have to be checked to ensure they are in working order — jigsaw puzzle pieces have to be painstakingly counted to ensure they are all there.

The toys will be distributed by the Bolton Lions charity to families all over Bolton.
