Pubs and clubs did a roaring trade before midnight as clubbers wore their best clothes for the occassion.

No thanks to Clifford and his merry men. Many gathered on the prescient last night waiting for the town hall clock to chime and fireworks but clock struck 12 and no chimes and no fireworks. Instead Clifford advanced the clock immediately from 12 to 12.05.
Lots of unhappy adults and children left very disappointed. I hope Clifford has something to say about this.
It's time he and his merry men gave up their seats to people who actually care for Bolton and its people.
Or is it to save the £6M so that he and his merry men can have renovated comfortable offices in the town hall.

Am just glad I am not the one having to clean up the sick, discarded kebabs and burgers, beer bottles etc from the town centre today.

Baaaaah haaaa haaaa oh my sides!

Bolton? New Years Party? Did something completely pass me by?

BTW how many people noticed a massive decrease in the traditional fireworks celebrations at 12 last night?

I think Bolton went through some kind of time warp as even the Town Hall forgot that it actually has a chime.
