A VANDAL who damaged two cars is being sought by police.

The man captured by CCTV is believed to have smashed the wing mirrors of a black Renault Clio and Citroen Saxo in Liscard Street, Atherton, between 2am and 11am on Sunday, December 16.

It is unknown if the vandal struck anywhere else.

Sgt Darren Agnew said: “Whoever is responsible for this vandalism should be ashamed of themselves.

“They clearly have no regard for anyone else's property. As well as the financial hardship it has caused the victims, there is also the added stress of sorting out repairs and rearranging work and home commitments. This was obviously of no concern to the offender.

“I would ask that people look very carefully at the CCTV still and if you suspect who may be involved, then call us immediately.

“We do not know if this man targeted any other cars that night but if your vehicle was vandalised in any way on that evening, then please let us know.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Atherton Neighbourhood Policing Team on 0161 856 7319, email Atherton.apt@gmp.police.uk or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
