THE first trailer for former Thornleigh pupil Danny Boyle’s latest film has gone online.

Trance, the Radcliffe-born director’s first film since the unforgettable opening ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics, is a psychological thriller about art thieves.

James McAvoy plays a light-fingered fine art auctioneer with a tendency to pocket some of the more expensive pieces that come his way.

He becomes mixed up with a criminal gang, joining forces with a hypnotherapist to recover a lost painting.

It also stars Rosario Dawson, from Seven Pounds and Sin City, and Black Swan’s Vincent Cassel.

Trance opens in UK cinemas on March 27.
