A HANDFUL of arrests were made during the Bolton Wanderers v Millwall match, police said.
The Championship teams drew 1-1 at the Reebok on Saturday.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “There were a small number of arrests. There were about two or three, the usual kind of low-level public order offences.”
A police operation had been in force to ensure there was no trouble when the 1,100 Millwall supporters visited.
It had been feared that tensions would run high following allegations that Wanderers striker Marvin Sordell had been racially abused when the sides met at The Den last October.
A Millwall fan also caused a storm last year when he posted a mocked-up picture of Sordell on Facebook showing him splattered with blood and with a gun pointed at him.
