A HUNT has been launched for a teenager who has been missing from home for more than a week.
Katie McLuney, aged 16, pictured, was last seen by her family, of Chelsea Avenue, Radcliffe, on January 5.
She has made contact with her family since she went missing but will not tell them where she is.
Katie has long, brown hair and green eyes. She was wearing a black tank top, dark blue Adidas top, black leggings, possibly pink trainers and carrying a bag when she was last seen.
Det Insp Carol Hobson, based at Bury, said: “It is natural that Katie’s family are growing more concerned as the days pass by since they last saw her. We share these concerns and are working hard to locate her and bring her home. As part of this we would like to appeal directly to Katie to get back in touch and let us or your family know where you are.
“You are not in any trouble at all. Everyone just wants to know you are safe. I also want to remind people that deliberately harbouring a teenage girl can be treated as a criminal offence.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
