Traffic jams bring Bolton to a standstill

MORNING rush-hour traffic was seriously disrupted this morning.
It followed a collision involving a Ford Transit and Ford Focus near the Bay Mare pub in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge at 6.45am.
The driver of the Focus was taken to hospital with suspected collar bone and leg injuries.
The road was blocked as a result, causing temporary traffic tail-backs.

We all know that Bolton is the only place in the country where accidents happen and where shops close.
We also know who to blame.
Why do these accidents happen?
Bolton used to be a glorious,proud town. The most magnificent town in the country. Now I'm ashamed.
