Traffic jams bring Bolton to a standstill

MORNING rush-hour traffic was seriously disrupted this morning.

It followed a collision involving a Ford Transit and Ford Focus near the Bay Mare pub in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge at 6.45am.

The driver of the Focus was taken to hospital with suspected collar bone and leg injuries.

The road was blocked as a result, causing temporary traffic tail-backs.

Fine example of some people jumping the gun when writing stuff down and not giving a second thought to people who actually read these comments and how it may affect the people involved and their family & friends. I'm glad that your uncles injuries where not worse than they are and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Councillor Morris must be involved in this somewhere.
We all know that Bolton is the only place in the country where accidents happen and where shops close.
We also know who to blame.

Why do these accidents happen?
Bolton used to be a glorious, proud town. The most magnificent town in the country. Now I'm ashamed.
Get Fatman Morris out.
