Bus routes altered due to heavy snow

HEAVY snowfall overnight has caused disruption for motorists and public transport.

Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys.

Flights were disrupted at Manchester Airport this morning but the runways are now clear and things are back to normal.

Some bus routes have been altered in Bolton due to the snow.

Maytree Travel has altered the following five services: 526 Bolton to Barrow Bridge terminating at Smithills 544 unable to serve Lincoln Avenue or Racecourse estate, Little Lever 559 Bolton to Aspull unable to serve St David's Crescent in Aspull 570 unable to serve Sutton Estate 714 Bolton to Blackrod unable to serve the Brazley and Pennine Road estates, terminating at Horwich Crown.

Arriva 575 and 715 Bolton to Wigan services are unable to serve St David's Crescent in Aspull.
