Fabrice Muamba is to be a father for the second time

MIRACLE man Fabrice Muamba has revealed he is going to be a father for the second time — just months after his heart stopped for 78 minutes on the pitch.

The former Bolton Wanderers’ star and his wife Shauna, who married in October, already have one child together, four year-old Josh.

Their second child is due in June.

Mrs Muamba tweeted about the baby, thanking those who had congratulated the couple.

She said: “Thanks for all the lovely well wishes @fmuamba and I are so happy.

“We've been so blessed and can't wait to meet our new baby.”

Emma Davies, the wife of Wanderers’ striker Kevin Davies tweeted her congratulations, and said: “Really happy for you. Great news.”

Muamba collapsed on the pitch at White Hart Lane in March last year during the FA Cup Quarter Final clash between the Wanderers and Tottenham.

Medics battled to save him and Muamba has made an incredible recovery.

The 24-year-old retired from football in August and has had a pacemaker fitted to correct the irregular heartbeat that caused his collapse.

A friend of the couple told The Sun newspaper: “They would have been thrilled anyway but given what happened to Fabrice last year, they feel even more blessed and lucky.

“Both were looking forward to 2013 but this makes it more special.”
