A DRUNKEN man told a policeman that he would hold a gun to his head after a New Year’s Day row, a court heard.
At Bolton Magistrates Court, Michael Hassan, aged 20, of Brocksby Chase, Halliwell, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive behaviour and possessing cannabis.
Howard Sloane, prosecuting, said Hassan was being abusive and aggressive in a takeaway, and when police arrived, he told one officer: “I’ll put a gun to your head.”
He was arrested and when searched a small bag of cannabis was found.
Peter Leather, defending, said Hassan denied threatening the officer with a weapon.
“He is adamant that, at no stage, did he mention a gun to the police,” he said.
Hassan was fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs plus a £25 victim surcharge.
