AN alleged bomb-maker has been charged with causing an explosion likely to endanger life.
Martin Middleton, aged 26, wore a large cast covering his left arm and hand when he appeared at Bolton Magistrates Court on Saturday.
Chris Finn, prosecuting, told the court the defendant, of Hartfield Walk, Tonge Fold, is alleged to have set off a handmade explosive on Sunday, January 13.
Middleton spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
Magistrate Stephen Paine remanded him in custody until Tuesday, when he will appear at the magistrates court again.
The charge relates to an explosion at a house in Lea Gate, Harwood.
