THE winter weather will not deter a troupe of Cub Scouts from planting a new hedgerow this weekend.
The 22nd Farnworth Cub Scouts will be at Moses Gate Country Park to carry out the work after youngsters received three hedgerow packs from the Woodland Trust as part of their plan a tree for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee scheme.
Each small hedgerow pack contains 12 hawthorn, 12 hazel, 12 holly, 12 dog rose and 12 dogwood plants.
