Rat-run drivers face £30 fine

POLICE are continuing to clampdown on drivers using a residential street as a ratrun.
Only residents and visitors are allowed to use Chassen Road, in Heaton, for access, but residents have been complaining that motorists are ignoring the signs and using it as a cut-through from Tudor Avenue to Chorley New Road.
Police said it was their number one priority after meetings with residents in Heaton and Lostock.
They have been regularly stopping drivers — but they have not been getting the message.
PC Andy McMath said “We have been giving people warnings about using the roads because residents are getting fed up.
“But motorists keep using the road, despite the signs, so we will be issuing fines.
“We have asked Bolton School to send an email out about it.”

Fines could be collected at the roadside using mobile payment technologies, and if the driver doesn't pay their car is snatched. It's no use **** footing about. Idiots and halfwits NEVER learn.
Those creating the problem end up paying for the solution. Problem sorted.
