BOLTON magistrates have sentenced a man to 24 weeks in jail after he assaulted a woman.
Sam Worthington, aged 20, of Almond Street, Farnworth, had denied assaulting Charlene McKerrow on September 20 last year, but was found guilty.
He had pleaded guilty to assaulting her on November 11, using threatening behaviour towards Angela Marshall on February 2 and damaging a pool cue at the Shakespeare pub, Farnworth, on the same day.
Magistrates also made an exclusion order prohibiting Worthington from entering the pub for two years.
