EIGHT former rugby league legends will swap the pitch for the boxing ring when they compete for the title of Rugby League Fight Champion 2013 at the Reebok Stadium.
Former St Helens player and recent MBE Paul “The Saint” Sculthorpe, Great Britain international and former Leeds player Keith “The Chief” Senior, Great Britain Lion and Challenge Cup winner Alan “The Assassin” Hunt, boxing regular and former Hull Captain Lee “Raging Bull” Radford and Wigan Team of the Decade player Mick “Butch” Cassidy will fight it out for the grand prize of £10,000 on Wednesday, February 27.
The fighters will be drawn at random in a Prizefighter concept and will face three matches.
The evening will be raising money for Joining Jack, a charity dedicated to funding research and development for Duchenne Muscular Disorder.
Joining Jack founder is former Wigan Warriors player Andy Johnson, who, with Rugby League friends, is trying to raise awareness and money in order to find a cure for DMD.
