CANNABIS plants with a street value of up to £13,500 have been discovered in a police raid.
Officers raided a house in Calvert Road, Great Lever, on Saturday and found 27 plants.
Insp Kev Lister said: “This action in Great Lever forms part of an ongoing operation in the area and follows on from Skyhawk, acting on information from members of the public.”
On Monday another warrant was executed in Lobelia Avenue, in Farnworth, where 10 plants were discovered.
Police are urging people who spot anything suspicious to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. Signs to look out for include a lot of equipment being taken into the property, large number of soil or grow bags, comings and goings from the property at unusual times, windows covered up and a distinctive smell.
