Bad weather disrupts bin collections

SNOW caused disruption to bin collections on Wednesday.

Bolton Council were unable to collect all green and grey bins after heavy snow hit the borough.

The council collected any missed green bins yesterday.

They have asked residents whose grey bins were not emptied to put their bins away and bring them out for collection again next week.

A statement on the council’s website said: “There were a handful of problems yesterday so residents should bring their bin back in and present it again on the next scheduled collection day.

“We will advise of any further disruptions should the weather change.”

When the council introduce fortnightly collections an inch of snow might mean you wait a month to get your bin emptied.

Why are the public sector workers first to down tools when it snows.

private sector workers walk over hot coals to get the job done!
Maybe council workers use it as another public holiday.
Prehaps a council tax rebaye is due ?
