DOUBLE-lung transplant mum Natalie Kerr inspired 10,000 people to join the NHS Organ Donor Register when she appeared on national TV on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old, pictured, who will celebrate the first anniversary of her transplant on Sunday, shared ITV’s Daybreak sofa with Lorraine Kelly to talk about the difference the transplant has made to her life.

She also appeared on Granada Reports, as part of ITV’s Valentine’s week From The Heart campaign, which aims to raise awareness of organ donation.

The mum-of-two’s life has been transformed since the operation, which saved her life.

Since her television appearance, Miss Kerr has been told 10,000 people joined the organ donor register.

The former Royal Bolton Hospital nurse said she hoped her donor’s family could see what a difference the operation had made to her life.
