THE fight against climate change has won the backing of a Bolton MP.
Bolton West’s Julie Hilling has given her support to Climate Week 2013, which aims to encourage people and organisations to share ideas, develop new collaborations and inspire others to act on climate change.
The UK’s third Climate Week take place from March 4 until 10 and is supported by the leaders of each of the three main political parties and climate change figures such as former US Vice President Al Gore, British environmental campaigner Tony Juniper and the former President of Ireland Mary Robinson.
Celebrities including Sir Paul McCartney and actresses Andrea Riseborough and Emilia Fox have also given their support.
Ms Hilling said: “Climate Week offers a great opportunity to shine a positive light on all the practical efforts being made to tackle climate change and live more sustainably.
“I strongly encourage my constituents in Bolton West and people across the country to get involved and register activity during Climate Week.
“Take the opportunity to showcase work you are already doing or to try something new such as cooking a low-carbon meal or getting involved in a community swap event.”

when will this woman do the job she is overpaid for? She pokes her nose into any little item that she thinks will bring her brownie points. Next election, the voters may just as well vote in a donkey, at least it only eats carrots and doesn't need an over-priced house for us to pay for.
