Man arrested after woman sexually assaulted in market in Bolton

A MAN has presented himself to police following an appeal to trace a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault at Bolton Market.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and remains in police custody following the attack on January 19.

A 48-year-old woman had been in the fish market with her teenage daughter when she was approached by a man at about 3pm on Saturday January 19.

The man lifted up her coat and sexually assaulted her. He was then challenged by the daughter, he apologised and walked off.
