Plans for car park spaces at temple

PLANS have been submitted to create 23 parking spaces next to a Hindu temple in Bolton.

The SSSS Mandir Temple, in Deane Road, was built at the turn of the last century and has always been a place of worship.

The proposal is to turn a vacant patch of land into an extended car park, which the applicant says will stop people from parking outside residents’ homes.

The site had been used as a car wash but is currently empty.

Plans include car parking and a two metre high metal fence, which will be made from metal railings with gold tops to match the one already in place in Cannon Grove.

seems sensible - vacant plot next to temple could usefully serve as car park for worshipers

makes perfect sense, will stop all the parking on cannon street which makes driving up and down it a nightmare.
