BOLTON comedian Dave Spikey has announced a new show.
The award-winning comic, and star of Phoenix Nights, will be performing Words Don’t Come Easy at the Art Centre at Edge Hill University, in Ormskirk, on Thursday, March 7.
The show examines those times in life when being speechless would be a better option, such as tongue-tied parents explaining the facts of life, ridiculous newspaper stories, rubbish school trips, magazine poems, adolescent chat-up lines, TV news speak and song lyrics that range from the lazy to the surreal to the ridiculous.
Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Preston and Chorley District Association Laryngectomy Society, which raises funds for head and neck cancer patients.
The performance starts at 8pm and tickets are £16 or £14 for concessions.
To book tickets, contact the Edge Hill box office on 01695 584480.
