RADCLIFFE’S Blockbuster store is to close along with three branches in Bolton, administrators Deloitte have announced.
The Outwood Road store was not on the first list issued in early February of 164 Blockbuster shops set to shut.
However, Deloitte yesterday announced that the Radcliffe store is now to close.
No official closure dates have been announced.
Blockbuster has branches in Chorley Old Road, Westhoughton, Horwich and Radcliffe but only its Bury branch is to stay open.
It is understood that 30 staff are employed across the five sites but they have declined to comment on the closures.
They were caught unaware of the closure news when it was first announced.
Administrators Deloitte were appointed to the DVD and video games rental company in January, which has struggled to compete with the growth of rival online film rental businesses.
Blockbuster is based in Uxbridge and had had 528 stores across the UK, employing 4,190 staff.
