A TAXI driver had to be cut out of his car following a crash.
Firefighters from Bolton and Bolton North fire stations were called to Bury New Road, Radcliffe, at 10.35pm on Friday following the collision between the taxi and a van.
The van driver was uninjured but the 36-year-old taxi driver complained to paramedics of having neck and back pain. Crews from Bolton North fire station spent 20 minutes cutting the roof off of the taxi so the man could be lifted out.
Watch commander Paul Norris said: “We then helped the paramedics carry him on a spinal board to the ambulance and he was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.”
