Radio careers in the air as media bus rolls in

PUPILS will become radio stars for the day when a special bus arrives at their school.

The Key 103 media bus will be at Rivington and Blackrod High School to talk to young people about apprenticeships in Greater Manchester.

And students will be able to produce their own podcasts, radio commercials and interviews on the day.

Director of Rivington and Blackrod High School Sixth Form, Paul Canning said: “Apprenticeships are an increasingly important pathways for students after A levels.

“We are pleased to welcome the Key 103 media bus. It will be an addition to the guidance we provide students at school and the pupils are looking forward to being involved.”

The youngsters who produce the 12 best commercials and podcasts to go to workshops at the Key 103 radio station.

Along with the workshops they will able to go behind the scenes and use the professional radio equipment to create their commercials and podcasts.
