GLOBAL WARMING?

GLOBAL WARMING? GLOBAL WARMING?

SNOW and high winds sent a chill across Bolton causing misery for com- muters and dampening any signs of spring.
The severe weather condi- tions were a stark contrast to the balmy temperatures in spring last year which gave us the third warmest March on record.
Yesterday’s blizzards dis- rupted trains and buses across Bolton as well as causing the closure of Rivington and Blackrod High School.
Horwich was the worst affected part of the borough and some buses had to divert their usual route through the Brazley and Old Lord’s estates via Chorley New Road.
Holiday-goers making a dash to sunnier climates for the Easter break experi- enced train delays of up to 20 minutes from Bolton sta- tion to Manchester Airport.
Firefighters were also left disappointed after being forced to call off their charity car wash due to the “terrible” weather.
Geoff Harris, from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service, said: “It’s a really tough decision to postpone at such short notice — especially when people have put so much time and effort into an event which raises money for a good cause — but it is just not practical to hold the car wash this weekend.”
But Bolton Council remained confident their gritters would rise to the challenging conditions.
Cllr David Chadwick, Bolton Council’s cabinet member for highways and transport, said: “So far we’ve spread something like
5,000 tonnes of salt since the winter started and I’ve got every confidence that our teams of gritters will be up to the task. The only prob- lem might be if snow falls overnight as you need traf- fic to go over the grit to get rid of the snow.”
Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox, talking about snow in Bolton, tweeted: “From what I remember it does snow very well.”
Last March the average temperature was 7.7C — the third warmest ever — out- shone only by 1938 and 1957.

Most of the climate-change and global warming sceptics stick to the mantra that it is getting warmer because we are coming out of an ice age or talk about the influence of the Sun.
So to talk about freezing conditions and snow at Easter as further evidence that climate change and global warming are a myth is just plain daft. You can't have it both ways.
Global Warming is exactly that, mean warming across the whole of the Earth not just some relatively insignificant island off Europe. Climate change? Well I think that argument moot.

Climate change will be proven to be a myth.It is a shame on modern society that so many people are willing to believe the most ridiculous tales with such scant evidence.
I am a lot clearer now as to how Hitler was able to dupe the German public into following the Nazi propaganda.

GLOBAL WARMING MAY NOT BE MAN MADE

Dr. Larry Vardiman (scientist and physicist) of the Institue for Creation Research says:

"One possible scenario may be found in a recent series of articles by Henrik Svensmark and Nigel Marsh, cosmic ray specialists from Denmark, who have shown an indirect connection between galactic cosmic ray (GCR) intensity and global temperature.7,8,9 They are studying the influence of the Sun on the flow of GCR to Earth. The Sun's changing sunspot activity influences the magnetosphere surrounding the Earth permitting more GCR to strike the Earth during high periods of activity.

When the Sun is active, the intensity of GCR striking the Earth is increased, causing more ionization in the atmosphere, creating more carbon-14, and possibly creating more cloud condensation nuclei (CCN). This increase in CCN, in turn, appears to create more low-level clouds which cool the Earth. When the Sun is quiet the GCR intensity striking the Earth is reduced, allowing the Earth to warm. Svensmark and Marsh have shown a striking statistical correlation between sunspot activity and global cooling and warming over the past 1000 years.

The recent rise in global temperature may partially be due to current low solar activity supplemented by a recent increase in carbon dioxide concentration measured at Mauna Loa. The connection which still needs further study is the production of CCN and clouds by GCR."

There is a good deal of science showing that global warming is not mad made. Yes, we still should have pollution controls, as we already do, but not to the extreme because it will unnecessarily hurt business.

I believe global warming is a natural phenomenon, after all it's only 11,000 years since the last ice age when ice covered most of Europe.I also believe that humans are not helping matters by spewing all kinds of contaminants into the atmosphere, causing "the green house effect." I don't usualy complain about the weather because there's bugger all I can do about it,besides Iv'e got lots of other things to **** about,eh FAT MAN.
