Car theft warning in hot weather
POLICE are reminding people to close car windows on hot days.
Officers have received a spike in calls as opportunist thieves have got into cars which have been left unlocked or insecure.
A spokesman said: “If you have leave them open for any reason make sure you are in sight of the vehicle and do not leave anything of any value in the vehicle.
“Think security. Keep your vehicles safe on hot days.”
