HUNDREDS of excited fans queued down Bradshawgate in the blazing afternoon heat to try to get a coveted ticket for Jackass madman Bam Margera’s Unstoppable gig.
The Alma Inn in Bolton town centre was chosen over a Manchester venue to fill a gap in the band’s European tour, which will see the play more than 20 shows. Relaxed and happy, the band, including Bam, his older brother Matty J from CKY, and Waldie from Viking Skull, enjoyed a barbecue and a few beers at the back of the pub with friends. The stuntman is known for his crazy antics on Jackass and spin-off show Viva La Bam.
Pro skater Bam, along with Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O are well known for their love of tattoos, often getting them done on camera. All their tour dates have been a sell-out at Academy gigs — some up to 1,000 capacity — and the Alma was no exception.
Venue manager, Jim MacGranthin, said: “It’s great that the guys came to Bolton rather than Manchester. It’s great for the town to have such big names playing such an intimate gig.”
