A SUSPECTED armed robber is being hunted by police.

Lee James Seddon, aged 36, is wanted in connection with a cash machine robbery at Brookfield Newsagents in Brookfield, Preston.

A security van was making a cash delivery at the ATM when the guards were approached by three men wearing balaclavas, one of whom had a machete.

A number of cash cassettes were stolen in the raid, whic happened at 9.30am on June 12.

The three men then fled in a Mini Cooper, which was abandoned a short time later.

Police said Seddon has links to Bolton.

Michael Paul Bond, aged 30, from south Manchester is also wanted.

Det Sgt Martin Pearson said: “We believe both men are aware that the police wish to speak to them and if anyone has any sightings or information as to their whereabouts I’d urge them to contact Lancashire Police.”

People are advising people not to approach the men.

A 27-year-old woman from Bolton has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the same incident.

She is on bail until August 28, along with a man from Blackpool, who has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
